The Pottawatomie County Sheriff Office is investigating a rural residential burglary that occurred in the 6300block of Salzer Road, rural Wamego.  This crime occurred sometime between 6:15 am and 3:20 pm on 07/26/2012.  The suspect or suspects in this matter forced entry to the residence by kicking out a glass door.  Once inside, the suspect-s removed several items to include a handgun and jewelry.  The loss is estimated to exceed $1,000 from the damage to the property and the theft.   Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pottawatomie County Sheriff Office at 785-457-3353.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office is investigating the reported theft of a boat on July 17th, 2012. The victim reported to the Sheriff's Office that their

2011 Lowe Model 1236 John Boat was stolen from the area of the Blue River west of Junietta Road where it had been tied to a tree.  The victim last saw the boat around 12 pm on July 17th, 2012and discovered it missing later that evening around 9 pm.
