E. Clifford Johnson, age 85 of Olsburg, Kan., died Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan, Kan.
He was born on May 17, 1926 on the family farm north of Olsburg, the son of Ernest and Edith (Erickson) Johnson. On April 12, 1947 he was married to Erma Davey. She preceded him in death on Dec. 5, 2007. Clifford was a farmer in the Olsburg community his entire life. He was a member of the Olsburg Lutheran Church, Olsburg Community Pride and was voted as citizen of the year in Olsburg.
He is survived by three sons, Wayne Johnson and wife Susan of Manhattan, Richard Johnson and wife Patti of Wamego, and Steve Johnson and wife Peggy of Olsburg; one brother, Marvin Johnson of Olsburg; one sister, Laurine Catt of Olsburg; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Arlyce Johnson.
Funeral services were held on May 2, 2012 at the Olsburg Lutheran Church in Olsburg, Kansas with Rev. Gordon Sandquist officiating. Burial was in the Olsburg Cemetery.
