A Wabaunsee County Sheriff’s Deputy, while on routine patrol, at about 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 7, 2013 stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and subsequently three subjects were arrested.

Daniel Marcus Johnson, DOB 9/28/83, LKA: 1232 NW Van Buren St., Topeka, KS

Gary Eugene Rath, Jr., DOB 7/29/71, LKA: 908 NW St. John, Topeka, KS

Lisa Ann Rath, DOB 1/1/71, LKA: 908 St. John, Topeka, KS

The subjects allegedly committed a theft of water line meters, valves, meter tubes, and scrap metal at 33002B Buffalo Mound Road which is owned by the Wabaunsee Rural Water District #1 near Maple Hill. The total amount of loss and damages is currently estimated at $500.00.

All subjects were arrested for Burglary, Theft and Criminal Trespass and bond was set at $15,000.00 cash/surety.

Johnson and Rath, Jr. were also charged with Criminal Damage to Property.

These subjects were detained at the Wabaunsee County Jail.
