On Feb. 9 the team traveled to Rossville for its first tournament of the year. The team did well, bringing home the 2^nd place trophy while only having nine students participate. Winning medals for the Mustangs were Sara Nider- 1^st in dramatic solo and 1^st in duet with Jackson Meyer, Chance Maginness-1^st in poetry and 1^st in extemporaneous speaking, Jacob Miller-1^st in humorous solo acting and 2^nd in dramatic solo acting, Mckenzy Umscheid-2^nd in prose and 5^th in duet with Casey Helget, Casey & Jackson-6^th in improvised duet acting, and Trey Basa-3^rd in dramatic solo acting and 4^th in prose. “I was especially happy for Casey Helget. It was her first tournament ever, and she broke in two events,” said Miller.
